HIFIS Guru-in-Training Program
It can be extremely difficult to onboard new HIFIS system administrators. There's so much to cover, and no good way to do so. Where do you start? There's written documentation, but how to convey years of experience to a new hire?
To solve this problem for you, ACRE Consulting is pleased to present our new training option for HIFIS system administrators: the HIFIS Guru-in-Training Program.
This interactive training involves the student actually logging into HIFIS and being guided through creating Service Providers, Users, Rights Templates, and more (safely in our sandbox site, so your data is not affected!) and having the meanings of the screens and fields explained as the student progresses.
By receiving contextual instruction, students are more likely to gain true insight as to how the various components of HIFIS work together, than by simply reading about it in a document.
To ensure that the student is understanding what we are teaching, we include several games, case studies, and quizzes.
Module 1: Basic HIFIS Configuration
This module covers the fundamental elements that are used to configure HIFIS, and is broken into three chapters.
- Chapter 1: Building Blocks covers Service Providers, Clusters, Places, and Programs
- Chapter 2: Users and Rights covers User accounts, Rights, and Rights Templates
- Chapter 3: HIFIS Fields covers Look-up Tables and other drop-down menus, Geographic Regions, Mandatories, and your data dictionary
At the conclusion of this Module, students will have a solid understanding of how to configure these elements and why particular configuration decisions get made in certain ways. For example, they will understand when to set up two Service Providers versus one Service Provider with two Programs, and the pros and cons of granting staff secondary Rights to Service Providers they do not work at.
Module 2: Client Files (Coming Soon)
Coming soon, our second Module will be focused on the ins and outs of Client Files, from Consent to Attestation to Activity and Housing Status to Client Information and a light dip into Client Management.
Module 3: HIFIS Modules (Coming Soon)
Our third Module will present an in-depth dive into each of the HIFIS modules, covering them in excrutiating detail so you know all the tips and tricks from the pros!
